A freak snowstorm the night before Christmas results in a surprise gift for three friends who reunite when forced to take shelter. Ellis, Zev, and PK were besties in high school but lost touch over time as those growing up are wont to do. However, as it says on the tin, buried emotions and heretofore unknown sexual orientations are revealed over a silly game of Never Have I Ever—and that’s after the impromptu photoshoot.

I expected the rest of this novella to go as I predicted, featuring the “there’s only one bed” trope to obvious results. However, Davison doesn’t skimp on the emotion, both during and after the fact.

It’s what happens after the snowstorm that pushes this novella from a sexy 4-star holiday treat to a solid 5-star romance arc about reuniting with old friends and forging new paths in life.
