I was beginning to recover from September, and then this week happened. Rather than re-hash my thoughts here, you can check out the blog post I wrote about my plan to keep writing.

The releases I have coming up have never been more appropriate, because my contributions to both involve rebelling against the status quo and embracing hope. I can’t wait to share “Future-Proof” and “To Be Bold” with you.

Need a sliver of escapism right now? My M/M/M military romance story “Toward Unity” is available for free.

There is no one, true way

Cam and Duri may start out thinking of each other as obstacles, but their greatest challenge involves fighting against the weight of expectation.

My immersion in the world of Valdemar so many years ago definitely helped inform my current philosophy of acceptance and strong views on the value of diversity. I’m even more honored that my work has become an official part of that world, with the short story “Future-Proof” part of this year’s collection of Valdemar stories, edited by Mercedes Lackey. Meet my Haven Collegium students on November 26.

New to the Core Values Collection

My story “To Be Bold” in Say Their Names is related to my other military romance stories through connections between characters, but mostly because the story involves living openly and authentically through hope rather than fear. More specific tropes include:

  • age-gap romance
  • brother’s ex-boyfriend
  • roommates to lovers

Say Their Names is an anthology of short stories about living and loving with HIV/AIDS by authors of gay romance. Proceeds from the sale of this anthology will be donated to The Names Project which oversees the preservation, maintenance, and display of the AIDS Quilt.

Includes stories by A.M. Arthur, Ana Ashley, Lee Blair, L.C. Chase, Courtney W. Dixon, Aries France, J.L. Gribble, AE Lister, Evie McGlynn, Shane K. Morton, Breanna Rae, Marie Sinclair, and Essie Sloane

Updates & Upcoming

In Progress

  • Secret novella project #2: I tossed the old outline and restarted this project this week, free of the weight of the past few months. I still haven’t decided how exactly I’m going to release this story, but I have not changed my plan to make it available for free!
  • In the writing queue: Blood and Ink (Steel Bonds #2) and another short story secret project
