Review: Diamond Fire (Hidden Legacy #3.5) by Ilona Andrews

This novella picks up where the last book in the Hidden Legacy series leaves off and features a surprise protagonist! As much as I adore Nevada, it was awesome to read a story from the perspective of another member of the Baylor family, and Catalina is fantastic.

It makes total sense to show readers Nevada and Rogan’s wedding from the POV of a third-party, especially so that the fan service of showing the wedding can be combined with a plot that doesn’t risk ruining Nevada’s day. This was a fun mystery story that includes a look at the expansive world of powerful magic-users (such as how ridiculous and still human they are), and I loved the old-school reveal at the end that exposes lots of delicious family secrets.

I hope to read more of Catalina’s adventures in the future, even as I look forward to the next main book in the Hidden Legacy series.
