Con Report: Pulpfest 2019

Pulpfest, held outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is not a convention I would have attended normally, but my publisher held an event there and I wouldn’t have missed that for the world. Raw Dog Screaming Press celebrated their sixteenth anniversary with readings from many of their authors, and I had a blast spending time with oldContinue reading “Con Report: Pulpfest 2019”

Pulpfest 2019 Schedule

This weekend I’ll be attending Pulpfest for the very first time! This convention is outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My publisher, Raw Dog Screaming Press, is celebrating their sixteenth anniversary with special events within the convention. Sixteen years is kind of a big deal for a small press, but then again, RDSP is kind of aContinue reading “Pulpfest 2019 Schedule”

Con Report: Confluence 2018

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since my first visit to Confluence as a professional writer. In 2013, I was promoting a speculative fiction anthology I had edited and announcing my contract with Dog Star Books to publish my first novel the next year. Now, my fourth novel comes out next month, and ConfluenceContinue reading “Con Report: Confluence 2018”

Confluence 2018 Schedule

For my second annual trip to western Pennsylvania this summer, I’ll be headed for Confluence, the speculative fiction literary convention hosted by Parsec, Pittsburgh’s science-fiction and fantasy society. I have a great time there every year, and I’m excited to head back this upcoming weekend. Due to miscommunications in a few different fronts, my scheduleContinue reading “Confluence 2018 Schedule”

Con Report: Confluence 2017

I was thrilled to once again be invited to Confluence, the annual SF/F literary convention hosted by Parsec. I have a ton of fun, and this year was no exception. FRIDAY Road trip company is the best, and this year a friend drove to my place outside of Baltimore on Friday night to join meContinue reading “Con Report: Confluence 2017”

Review: DAILY GRIND (Takeover #4) by Anna Zabo

Disclaimer: I consider the author a friend and have promoted her projects on my blog. However, I purchased this ebook for full price. This novel was sweeter than the others in the series, but certainly no less hot for it. Brian and Rob go through a much more traditional meet-cute and love story, with theContinue reading “Review: DAILY GRIND (Takeover #4) by Anna Zabo”

Review: JUST BUSINESS (Takeover #2) by Anna Zabo

Disclaimer: I consider the author a friend and have promoted her projects on my blog. However, I purchased this ebook for full price. Probably the best praise I can give this novel is that I meant to read a chapter or two before bed and when I looked up, my Kindle read 100% and itContinue reading “Review: JUST BUSINESS (Takeover #2) by Anna Zabo”

Review: TAKEOVER by Anna Zabo

Disclaimer: I consider the author a friend and have promoted her projects on my blog. However, I purchased this ebook for full price. I’ve had this book on my Kindle forever, and while had previously read and greatly enjoyed another novel by Zabo, I wasn’t sure whether my love of her urban fantasy would translateContinue reading “Review: TAKEOVER by Anna Zabo”

Con Report: Confluence 2016

This weekend I attended my third Confluence convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a participant on programming. This is one of my favorite conventions, and I was delighted to be asked back for another year. I’m already looking forward to doing it all over again next July!
