I was delighted to be invited back to Pride LitCon in Richmond, Virginia, earlier this summer! The event expanded to both Saturday (18+) and Sunday (all ages) this year, and my fun variety of books meant that I was able to exhibit at both.
Friday
Rory Maxwell, travel buddy extraordinaire, and I hit the road after we were both finished with work for the day. The normally 2-hour drive took over twice as long thanks to the rain and traffic, but we finally made it to the friend’s house where we stayed for the weekend!
Saturday
I had a blast tabling on Saturday, chatting with guests and catching up with friends running their own tables around me.

That evening, Rory and I celebrated another friend’s birthday at a delicious pho restaurant. After that, these two introverts were peopled out and happily went to bed early.
Sunday
Since Rory’s books are all spicy, she was not originally scheduled to table on the second day of the event. Instead, I dropped her off to get more work done on her amazing tattoo sleeve and headed back on my own. However, since there ended up being an empty table next to mine, and all of Rory’s kit was also in the back of my car, the organizers invited me to set up her handmade mugs and books (minus all the “scandalous” swag). I had a blast bouncing between tables and talking about both of our books with guests!

At the end of the day, I packed up both tables, chilled out in the tattoo shop for a lovely quiet hour until Rory finished up with her artist, and we headed back north. Luckily, with significantly less traffic and poor weather along the way.
Final Haul

Since both of us had driven to this event, I was able to finish up my hardcopy collection of Jordan L. Hawk’s amazing SPECTR series!
