Another month passed in the blink of an eye, and as usual, my ambition outpaced my ability, but I’m still pretty satisfied with how September went. In another of the endless attempts to better wrangle the multiple goals I have every month, I took a cue from a fellow author and started to use the online Trello board system. You’ll pry my physical daily to-do lists from my cold hands, but I’m really enjoying this bigger-picture management system. It’ll be especially handy as I dip my toe into self-publishing next year.
Yeah, you read that right.
Now that the official end of the Steel Empires series looms closer, I’ve got PLANS. But I’m not done with the world of Limani, and especially not done with some fascinating secondary characters. I’m just moving next door, from urban fantasy to paranormal romance. No series title yet, but I’m in the planning stages of writing a prequel novella for NaNoWriMo 2022 and starting the first of (at least) three novels in 2023.
Those plans mean lots of prep work, which I hope to start this month. Unfortunately, I also have to keep reminding myself that my month “ends” on October 21, when I take off for the other side of the planet: An epic 10-day family reunion adventure in Israel.
So, no time to blather on here!
