Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat 2024 Schedule

I am extremely fortunate that the year I added romance to my brand, many new romance events also debuted. My willingness to invest in original ideas (which has always been an integral part of my brand) means I’ve had fabulous opportunities not often available to “newer” authors. This week, I’m thrilled to participate in my first international event! (Unless international waters count?)

Northern Rainbow Romance Retreat 2024 October 2-6, 2024 Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Developed by Heather of MM & MMM+ Romance Reviewed, I think the concept of an event that is part professional workshop and part traditional book signing, but all dedicated to the amazing queer romance community, is a fabulous idea. I can’t wait to make both professional and reader connections, along with visiting a brand-new city.

I’ll have copies on hand of all my books to sell, including Earth and Water and Service Before Self, my debut paranormal and contemporary romances; a couple of limited editions of the Limitless Love charity anthology; and each book in the complete Steel Empires urban fantasy series.

The TARDIS is also taking its first international road trip! I’m driving up on Tuesday and staying at the event hotel. Below is my official schedule; the rest of the time, I’m always open for a drink, a meal, or just a chat.

Wednesday

3:30 PM: Self-Editing for Fiction Writers (presentation, Niagara Room)
A writer’s job isn’t done after they write “the end.” This presentation can help writers of all skill levels develop strategies for timing your self-editing and techniques to craft the best story possible. And learn how to work in conjunction with their beta readers and other editors throughout the post-production process.

Friday

9 AM: Reader VIP Salon (Courtland Room)
Join me for your morning coffee and consider the author at your disposal for anything you want to chat about!

Open at 2 PM for VIP reader hour; open at 3 PM for public access
