I gave myself a bunch of goals this month…which promptly hit the wall of the real world. Here in the United States, it’s a pretty depressing time to work in public health, much less focused on LGBTQIA+ sexual health. Special shout-out here to Taylor J. Gray, with 22 novels from multiple interconnected series, who provided some truly excellent disassociation in the last few weeks. (I highly recommend their work if you’re into kinky, nontraditional dynamics with stunning emotional depth.)
However, I I did start outlining Blood and Ink! I develop each book differently, thanks to a combination of ADHD brain and building on what I learn from every project I write. The tropes so far include oblivious heroes, forced proximity, dangerous pasts, and “touch him and die.” Asaron and Gan both have no idea what’s about to hit them!
I’m home for the entire month of March, so fingers crossed for plenty of productivity! (Cooperation of real-world events to be determined. In the hour I spent working on this newsletter, both the Spouse called me and the day job emailed me about more government shenanigans.)
