The relationship development between Whyborne and Griffin is as intriguing as the main plot without feeling contrived. I enjoyed this look into Griffin’s past, which reveals so much about the man he is now. Christine continues to be a fantastic foil for both men, and I hope that her inclusion in these adventures continues.
Hawk doesn’t shy away from the horror elements in this series, and some descriptions are not for the weak of stomach. They also doesn’t shy away from the descriptions in their more erotic scenes, and the balance creates an engrossing tale. I look forward to continuing with this series.
