Connor was just enough of an unreliable narrator to really hook me into his brain. I laughed when he laughed, and my heart ached when his did. He was an incredible well-crafted character, and the first-person narration worked well for the conceit of his conversations with Vince.
The only downside to the first-person narration of this book is that Noah came off as a little too perfect. That being said, it’s also completely appropriate because we’re only seeing him through Connor’s perspective. I definitely want a follow-up with these characters, and hopefully we’ll get in Noah’s head a bit more. Because I’m sure his imperfections are just as amazing as the rest of him.
